The 15th CIEC conference will be held from 5 to 7 September 2016 at Lyon (France). This European Conference on Ceramics Materials will cover all the scientific aspects concerning ceramics as well as processing, structural characterization, properties and industrial applications of monolithic ceramics, ceramic composites, glass and ceramic coatings. This conference promotes particularly collaboration between young researchers and supports initiatives of networking and European projects. This conference is opened to all the European ceramic scientists.

The conference will consist of invited lectures, as well as oral and poster contributions. A single session format will allow detailed discussion of the relevant issues. In addition, a lively poster session will be encouraged, aimed particularly at young researchers who may be attending their first international conference. These participations will be encouraged by low registration fees and by speaker, poster and photo contests. JECS Trust is thanked for the donation of all these prizes. A book collecting all submitted abstracts will be distributed to participants during the conference. We aim at publishing selected contributions in a special issue of a peer reviewed journal such as J. Europ. Ceram. Soc. The official language of the conference is English.
